IMEC Open Tables Season 1, Episode 3
In this very special episode of International Mandela Effect Conference (IMEC) Open Tables, Cynthia Sue Larson, Chris Anatra, Jerry Hicks and Shane Robinson discuss Mandela Effects at the movies, and IMEC awards the first ever Mandela Effect award. The Golden Mandy award is the Mandela Effect version of the Academy Award Oscar, presented by IMEC. Six nominees were considered in 2021 for either having a dramatic Mandela Effect, or for raising awareness of the Mandela Effect. The recipient of the 2021 Golden Mandy participates in a panel discussion on this first-ever Mandela Effect awards show. The winner of the Golden Mandy will be highlighted on the www.IMEC.world website.

The Academy Awards in April 2021 included a big Mandela Effect that set social media talking about a film that many had never heard of as a nominee for Best Costume and Best Hair and Makeup. Newsweek magazine in April 2021 reported that many people are noticing a Mandela Effect in a beloved family film. Mandela Effects have been noticed in other movies this year, and a TEDx talk was given on the topic of the Mandela Effect.

Golden Mandy nominees for 2021 include:

(1) Shazam movie by DC Comics
(2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
(3) Holmes and Watson, released in 2018
(4) Pinocchio, released December 2020
