Today, I quizzed David on some common Mandela Effect examples. In short, the Mandela Effect is when a large amount of people believe one thing to be true (and believe they have memories to back it up) when in reality, it is not true. It is called the Mandela Effect because when Nelson Mandela died in 2013, many people distinctly remembered him dying back in the 80s. This started a large conspiracy theory that there are parallel or alternate universes and not all details correctly transfer. As interesting as it is to think that, I think the cause of this is probably two very similar events or logos getting mixed/ confused in our heads… but what do I know!?
