What if something can be there all along and yet somehow you’ve never seen it? In this new conversation, I sit down once again with my dear friend and longtime Mandela Effect researcher Cynthia Sue Larson to explore a fascinating collection of reality shifts, synchronicities, changing memories, and signs that perhaps more of reality is becoming visible.
We begin with something that was completely new to both of us: Zodiacal Light, a mysterious triangular glow appearing near the horizon around the equinoxes, created when sunlight illuminates interplanetary dust along the plane of our solar system. Astronomy says humanity has observed it for centuries. Yet somehow, neither Cynthia nor I had ever heard of it. For Cynthia, that’s especially intriguing. She studied physics at UC Berkeley, took astronomy classes, and even worked on a NASA-funded project. And I’ve spent years watching the sky and using astronomy apps, yet I only discovered Zodiacal Light this week when an app suddenly told me to go outside at 4 AM and look for it.
So we ask the question that became the theme of this entire conversation: What was always there? From there, things get interesting.
We explore the Bewitched Mandela Effect and Samantha’s famous “nose twitch,” followed by an extraordinary synchronicity involving a 1968 episode titled “Mirror, Mirror on the Wall.” That leads us directly into another famous Mandela Effect, Snow White’s remembered “Mirror, Mirror” versus the current “Magic Mirror” and into a deeper conversation about mirrors, inversion, consciousness and the observer.
Perhaps a mirror doesn’t simply reflect. Perhaps it reveals.
We also discuss the work of consciousness researcher Donald Hoffman, whose interface theory challenges the assumption that what our senses show us is reality itself. Could the world we experience be more like a user interface? Could even the Sun, Moon and sky be icons within that interface?
Then the conversation moves into something Cynthia and I have both been noticing lately: survivors. We explore unusual survivorship stories involving Mount Shasta, the World Trade Center on 9/11, and the Hindenburg disaster and ask what these apparent changes might mean within a reality-shift or multiverse framework.

Near the end, Cynthia and I discover that we’d recently experienced an eerily similar kind of time glitch: hearing something happen shortly before it actually happened. Neither of us knew about the other’s experience beforehand.
And we close with something much simpler: light. I share a photograph I recently took at sunset in Montana while experiencing what felt to me like a powerful heart expansion. Cynthia immediately describes the still photograph as appearing almost alive, expanding, moving and three-dimensional. – 1:34:03
Maybe the question isn’t whether everything we’re noticing proves reality has changed. Maybe the more interesting question is: What if we’re becoming capable of noticing more of what was always there?
