The Mandela Effect/Berenstain Bears Effect refers to the phenomenon in which people misremember a minor detail from the past. Since a large number of people misremember the detail in the same way, the theory states that instead of just being wrong, they’ve been sucked into an alternate universe; clearly, a much more plausible scenario.
